2023 NFL Mock Draft Roundup: Vikings Trade Up for Anthony Richardson

Round 1

The Minnesota Vikings have made a bold move in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, trading up to select quarterback Anthony Richardson from the University of Florida. The Vikings sent their first-round pick (16th overall) and a fifth-round pick to the New York Jets to move up to the 10th spot.

Round 2

With their own second-round pick, the Vikings selected wide receiver Kayshon Boutte from LSU. Boutte is a dynamic playmaker who could help fill the void left by the departure of Justin Jefferson.

Round 3

In the third round, the Vikings stayed in-state and selected offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor from the University of Minnesota. Proctor is a mauler who will provide much-needed protection for quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Round 4

The Vikings used their fourth-round pick on cornerback Cameron Young from Mississippi State. Young is a physical presence who could make an immediate impact on the Vikings' defense.

Round 5

With the pick they acquired from the Jets, the Vikings selected safety Tony Grimes from North Carolina. Grimes is a versatile defender who can play both safety and cornerback.

Round 6

The Vikings added to their offensive line in the sixth round, selecting guard Jaheim Oatis from Alabama. Oatis is a road-grader who will help open up holes for running back Dalvin Cook.

Round 7

The Vikings wrapped up their draft by selecting linebacker Darius Rush from South Carolina in the seventh round. Rush is a high-energy player who could contribute on special teams.
