Manchester City Win 5-4 on Penalties

Manchester City defeated Burnley 5-4 on penalties in a pre-season friendly at Turf Moor on Friday.

The match was level 1-1 after 90 minutes, with Riyad Mahrez giving City the lead in the first half before Ashley Barnes equalised for Burnley in the second.

City won the shootout 5-4, with Ilkay Gündogan scoring the winning penalty.

The match was City's second pre-season friendly, following their 1-0 defeat to Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Trophy last week.

City will begin their Premier League campaign at home to West Ham United on August 19.
